The 'insulin makes you fat' was a more general comment in response to recent threads here where people have worried that taking insulin will lead to being fat.

If you're putting on a stone in 10 days from such a small amount of carbs, then maybe that was fluid or you have an additional issue such as insulin resistance, whether 'natural' or induced by LCHF.

I agree excessive carbs are a bad idea but very low carbs bring their own issues, and saying that people are 'hitting themselves with a hammer and then taking a painkiller' is unwarranted.

Just my opinion, like the rest of us. My apologies if it offends you, but it's an apt description for how I felt at the time.
 
That is very reassuring. And your so right. If I was to try and eat very low carb I know I wouldn't last a week then the guilt will follow of feeling like I can't control this. Thank you
