Hi and welcome,
Your fasting test of 6.8 is in the pre-diabetic range. However, these tests are extremely unreliable for a variety of reasons, which is why they are no longer used for diagnosis and why you had the OGGT and HbA1c. I imagine you were pretty stressed or anxious at the time, and no doubt rushed about getting to the surgery etc. All this will have affected that reading.
Your own fasting tests are also subject to matters outside your control, such as liver dumps (dawn phenomenon - plenty about this on the forums if you do a search). Your own post lunch ones don't really mean anything without a before eating test, and will have depended on exactly what you ate and drank. The higher you start the higher you will finish, and the more carbs and sugar the higher it will be..
Normal blood sugar readings

I have to agree the second test after 75g of glucose that showed 6 is a bit odd but very good if it was correct.
These are the normal standards:
Type 2 diabetes
If you're being tested for type 2 diabetes, two hours after drinking the glucose solution:
- A normal blood glucose level is lower than 7.8mmol/L
- A blood glucose level between 7.8 and 11 mmol/L is considered impaired glucose tolerance, or prediabetes. If you have prediabetes, you're at risk of eventually developing type 2 diabetes. You're also at risk of developing heart disease, even if you don't develop diabetes.
- A blood glucose level of 11.1 mmol/L or higher may indicate diabetes.
No two meters will ever give the same result, no matter how close together the tests are. Even from the same drop of blood. In fact it is highly unusual to get 2 identical readings from the same meter. All meters are required to conform to the same accuracy standards, and there is no reason to believe your nurse's meter is any more accurate than yours. (although I imagine the surgery meters are calibrated frequently)
All you can do is wait for the HbA1c result, and then come back and let us know what it is. Good luck.
