Sorry to pester again,
Diagnosed type 2, 4 months ago but after reaction to various med doing diet alone.
I know I should not have eaten it but had half a weight watchers risotto at 5.30 and by 7 felt yuck, checked bloods and I was at 9. Had my usual 500ml water over time till now, but felt so shaky, blurred vision and unsteady on my feet, and I know I should not have checked bloods again but now down to 5.1.
I am so confused and did not expect to drop I honestly thought I had gone up..........is this normal?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Because you have quite steady for a while now, then you succumbed to temptation, as everybody does! Your fluctuations in blood glucose levels has become your symptoms, the sudden hyper then drop back has you having a false hypo.
Eat something low carb and do some walking, this will steady you back down.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for reply, I will eat something but as for walking I can't as I have lower mobility problems.

but nothing dangerous in that number and thats the most important , but try not to eat anything to high in the glyvemic index / anything tha spikes too much, like spike you over 7.8mmols
you can read al lot of it here ; http://www.health.harvard.edu/diseases-and-conditions/glycemic_index_and_glycemic_load_for_100_foods

Sorry!

Can you do some upper body exercise, something just to take the edge off?
If not, do eat and check your levels regularly.

Because of your mobility problems, control is more important, the wife is the same!
Discs disintegrating and trapped sciatica nerve!

I will. Going to make app with nurse. I am sorry to hear your wife has one of the same problems as me as well as arthritis and fibro.
Think I could do with seeing a dietician to help as I have lots of food allergies too, nuts, meat and fish to name a few.

I have an awful lot of food intolerance as well.

My condition doesn't let me treat myself at all!
Some dieticians don't understand low carb higher fat. You could be better off reading the low carb forum. Do have your appointment but treat the advice with scepticism!
