joined Weightwatchers in January, my blood sugar was always 8. something in the morning (first thing fasting), during Feb it dropped to 6. something in the morning, the last week I've also given up caffeine and levels are 7. something. Is this normal, anyone any ideas. I'm T2, I have also been taking Aloe Vera juice and that seemed to help as well, my hba1c for previous 3 months was 53, half what is was this time last year, GP has said that if get to 48 I will be in remission, seems the harder I try to get there the harder it becomes, any ideas why my levels are rising again

I talk to a lady on a regular basis who goes to WeightWatchers. Her diet and my diet are very different. She is dieting to lose weight only. She has lost weight using the weight watchers method but doesn’t have to consider blood sugar levels, whereas I do.

If you get to 48 in Australia, that is good enough for a diagnosis of diabetes T2.... certainly not remission.

Diet certainly plays a roll in your levels, maybe you need to reduce some carbs? I have no idea what WW diet means in terms of carb amounts you can eat.
