Yes, I thought eggs bunged you up.
I had the same problem Tonal, so I take psyllium most days - a teaspoon in a glass of water followed by lots more water. You need to make sure you wash it down really well as it does bulk up very quickly. I think over time our bodies will adjust to the change in diet.
The other thing that I find helpful for my digestive tract is prebiotic fibre (I get mine from Nature's Best)
@Andy12345 being a little argumentative today I found the following stats somewhere :
1 in 10,000 eggs contain Salmonella. If you consider most egg dishes are made with at least 2 eggs, that's 1 in 5,000 egg dishes
As you consume quite a few eggs, might be best to be ready for a blast.
(Joking aside if me or my dear old dad have a fried egg, the egg goes straight through, now that must be a gene thing.)
Returning to the constipation a issue (because I'm not in the habit of eating raw eggs)
Psyllium husks
Lots of fibrous veg
Berries
Enough fat (which may be more fat than you expect!)
Regular exercise
Plenty to drink
And treat laxatives as a last resort, because you can develop a dependency.

I'm having a lot of problems with constipation, I was like it before i was diagnosed with diabetes. I was on lactose syrup which was sort of helping. Then Dr said I shouldn't use that because of the sugar contents in it and put me on Laxido which gave me terrible pains in my stomach for the last week I have been given Fybogel to take twice a day, which have worked the last couple of days. It don't help as I tear whenever I go. I've also tried 300mg of magnesium Citrate which didn't seem to help.
From yesterday I changed my diet to eating more fibre so I'm hoping that will help, but need to keep an eye on my BG reading. I drink plenty of water throughout the day.
This mornings BG reading was 5.8
Breakfast I had 2 weetabix, a small banana and 3ozs milk
I was on grandson duties to take him to playschool so walked 11/2 miles
Post breakfast reading 5.3
I was on grandson duties to collect him from playschool so walked 11/2 miles
Pre lunch 5.5
Lunch 2 slices nimble wholemeal bread with a hard boiled egg and cherry tomatoes. 1 small satsuma
Post lunch 5.3
Pre Dinner 4.6
Dinner 100gm gammon, cabbage, sprouts, carrots, peas, 1tbs mashed potatoes. 1 small apple
Post dinner 5.7
Snack cashew nuts
This evening 5.9
I'm happy with these Reading which contain 3 pieces of fruit throughout the day.
i always have full fat natural greek yogurt with berries for brekkie, on top i sprinkle/pour linwoods milled flax" it tastes great, gives it a nice texture and is very helpful in keeping things moving, apparently its also good as a topping for salads
Me too with a teaspoon of chia seeds and double cream not yogurt.... My slow colonic transit probs have disappeared since having this daily.
However.. If going away for a weekend to a hotel etc and I don't have my flaxseed breakfast for 2 days my stomach slows down really badly and the constipation will start.. Flaxseed is the only thing natural that keeps my stomach chugging along normally.
