Control Solution Tests

Would one expect a brand new meter testing multiple times on the same day from the same, brand new, bottle of control solution to return the same readings from that solution? The question assumes the manufacturer's directions would have been followed.
 
I'm not in the know about the solution but I've used it twice on a new machine and it gave two different readings... 2 whole points apart.
