ie: if my bloods are running high will it give me insulin accordling via my pump ?
Thanks[/QUOTE]
Unfortunately, cgm as it is at the moment, is not an artificial pancreas, but research and clinical trials involving pump users and a special programming of a pump to work in tandem with a cgm telling the pump how much insulin to release for food affecting bg levels and then the other hormone called glucagon is also released to rectify low bg levels. It's a work in motion but will probably take another 5 yrs and will involve lots of money and negotiating before the AP starts to become a reality and probably 'smart' insulin will also be a contender
