Hi,
As the weather is cooling I'm now considering warming slow cooker meals. I remember as a child I used to get served heart, liver and kidneys (not all at once  ), so I am looking for cooking ideas.
I have made a steak and kidney slow cooked stew before but if anyone can advise how I could do this and get a lovely thick gravy, like you might get with a steak and kidney pie, that would be great. I think I normally buy lambs kidneys.
Also ideas on how to cook heart would be great, can I just add it to a slow cooked stew? And is beef heart better than say lamb or pig?
I eat Lambs liver fried with onions then put on top of mashed celeriac with gravy. I believe my brother told me Lambs liver was nicer than pigs.
All help and advice will be very helpful.
