Hi, I am currently in physiotherapy with shoulder (rotator cuff problems). They reckon it could take six months to resolve and my GP is reluctant to recommend corticosteroid injections for pain relief. I am taking NSAIDs and opiates for the pain. Could anyone enlighten me why the reluctant attitude for diabetics ?

I have had a frozen shoulder. Frozen shoulders can be linked to diabetes. I have had it washed out and injections of steroids deep via ultra sound. My blood sugars went crazy did not react to insulin at all. It took two days for me to be able to get up. It helped the pain but I was really poorly. Have had smaller doses that are more superficial and they didn't really change my bms. If I were to have again which i am deciding on at present I will do so in conjunction with the diabetes team as my insulin needs vastly changed. Good that they are reluctant and aware. Good luck
