I am a mere 36 years old, I have recently had 2 cortisone injections, one for each arthritic hip that was nearly 5 days ago. Since then my blood sugar has been sky high, the latest high was 30.9 this evening. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem, i have had diabetes for 34 years my last HBA1 was 6.7. I cannot seem to eat anything without feeling like a piece of dried paper, and no matter how much exercise i take and the amount of insulin i alter nothing works. Please has anyone got some advice??

Hi

I'd let your GP or endo know that this is happening ASAP so they can advise you on changing your insulin dose.

I take daily hydrocortisone (like cortisone) and when I take a high dose, my blood sugars become elevated. Steroids affect your blood sugar especially at high doses.
