Hi all. Had a cortisone injection in my frozen shoulder on tues 4th oct.
Yesterday and today pain has gone worse and intensified from my shoulder to my spine and lower back.
Its my 2nd cortisone treatment the 1st I had 6months ago.
Last time it did this too! got worse before completely vanishing, then was wonderful got my life back.
Able to dress myself, wash my hair, reach up and swing arm round properly etc...
Anyone else found it went worse before improving immensly?
Its just so painful today am fearful it hasnt worked again.
Plus my BS levels have rocketed too. Feel ruff to say the least. :(
Anna. :(

Hi Anna,

Long time no speak! :)

A family member has these in their knees. They often find it gets worse before it gets better i'm afraid.

Hope the worst is over very quickly so you can get back to normal things that most take for granted!

Hope your BG's get back down too, it's so strange how so many other meds can seem to muck up your BG's!!

Hi ebony.
Thanks for your reply, felt ruff last thurs, fri and yesterday.
Slept for ages and was constantly stiff achey and weary, put it down to the raised BG levels with the injections.
Woke up today with enough energy to drag myself into shower, brighten myself up and do some small home chores.
Its so true other meds and treatments do manage to muck up the BG's.
Great to hear from you, hope you're doing well.
Anna. :D

Hi Anna,
I also had/have a frozen shoulder and have had 2 cortisone injections in last 5 months. My Doc told me that it would get worse (about 3 days) before getting better. This proved to be the case, however it only worked on about 80% of directional movement of my shoulder. I hope you soon feel the benefits and things return to normal.

John.

Thanks john.
Nice to meet someone else who has the same affliction and condition. :D
Was lovely to be able to wash my hair today painfree , and I was humming " gotta wash that guy out of my hair too " . From the south pacific musical .
Must admit this time pain was worse than the 1st cortisone injection that had done in may .
