Cost of Blood Sugar Testing

I was diagnosed type 2 beginning of April. my doctor gave me the choice of testing and when I said I wanted to gave me a free tester which comes with 50 strips, and presccribes when the strips run out. But I had probs a couple of times so bought the new Activa tester from Boots for £10 and my docotr prescribes strips whenever I need them. And of course my prescriptions are free.

got a bit stressed last week when i read about low carbing. had never heard of it to do with diabetes, however have read up on it and will cut my carbs a bit to loose the weight i still need to.

The way I look at it, now I no longer have to eat all that starch I can eat more things with flavour and nutrition instead <G>
