After a prolonged absence I am returning to UK, what is approx cost of Lantus vials and Metformin 500 mg ER tabs , I am still covered by NHS system ...Thank you ...PS this is a superb forum and check it often....

In Scotland/Wales Prescriptions are free.
In England people with diabetes on medication can get an NHS Medical Exemption Certificate which gives you free precriptions.
You will have to ask your GP to fill in a form.
