I seem to have started a chesty cough (from my husband!) and its getting very annoying. Has anyone used a cough medicine that didnt send their BG into orbit?

Sorry to hear you caught the cough. I have used this and from memory Libre was fine with the impact. Other people may have used different preparations and/or have different experiences. This one is supposed to be specially formulated for diabetics

The 2 that @ianpspurs are sugar free so should be ok, there may even be others if you ask at the chemist - I also use the strepsils strawberry sugar free lozenges (cheapest are £1 at Poundland) if I feel the start of a cold or sore throat/cough and I feel better as these are nice and soothing too if you are feeling a bit miserable and have no effect on my bg's. Take care x

The only one Boots had was Robitussin Sugar Free and no spikes. Thanks All. Tiny bottle should have bought two.

Bit late but echinacea works wonders for a cough and sore throat. A Vogel do a spray

I find a good swill round my throat with neat whisky or brandy seems to work quite well. If you happen to swallow ot too, so much the better
