Cough syrups

hey folks, Me again,

This is the first time I have been ill since being diagnosed, woke up a few days ago with a fiery sore throat next day I was so congested I could hardly breath, doctor has given me antibiotics but still have proper irratable cough, haven't slept in 3 nights with it. Can anyone recommend a good cough syrup of type 2 ?

Robotussin is the one to go for - sugar free and is ok for diabetics T1 or T2.
