Just looking for some advice. My husband is diabetic type 2 and I have been testing myself also, just out of interest. we are confused however by the results. I eat the same as him, no sugar except fruit and my blood glucose remains higher. For example tonight it was 9.6 two hours after a meal. Any thoughts? I am 41 and not overweight and have no symptoms. Thanks.

I'm no expert Iv had it that long I don't know what nondiabetic ranges are but I know that they should be around 4-8 and don't really move from there! that does seem a little bit high!! x

The only advice I can give is to organise a fasting blood test at your doctors.

Just ring up your doc (you don't have to see him / her, just ask for a telephone appointment) and ask for an MOT blood test.

You may have to fast completely for 12 hours prior to the test. Just drink water in the morning. Don't drink tea or coffee with milk.

Good luck and keep us informed....
