I would like to know some details about forum policies.
I was banned for a week or so.
Why?
When members are banned, aren't they informed what rule they have broken?
I would like to know the rule that was applied in my case.
Hard to do when you can´t log in!Not guilty your honour
I do think you should be informed to be honest. Perhaps a PM to a senior mod ?

You are probably right, but as I have started this thread I would like to know about other members experiences of being banned. I am not that bad, am I? And how does banning work? And for what reasons are you banned? You would be better taking this matter up with the Admin ( using the Conversations facility) rather than starting a thread about it.
why should it be a secret out of interest? if its not a personal subject to totto why shouldnt she discuss it? im not trying to start trouble im just curious noblehead
Hi chick! I suspect the reason I was banned was that I gave the advice not to immediately trust your HCP but to think first before you follow their advice.Dangerous, I know.Sorry that you were banned! I for one would like to sing Totto's praises. It was Totto who took me under her wing and referred me to the LCHF way of life and diet doctor. Otherwise I might have been following the frightening advice given by the NHS. Just thinking about it sends shivers down my spine. I should also like to add that I have never seen an unpleasant post from this member!
No, but I would have appreciated if they had disclosed their opinion to me. Being banned without reason so far as I am aware of ****** me off a bit so I wanted to discuss it with you lot on here.Well why would Totto think that members of the forum will know why she was banned, I don't suspect Admin disclose their reasons to anyone, therefore any complaints should be directed to the Admin and the Admin only, threads like this serve no purpose whatsoever but to cause trouble IMHO.

Direct but not rude. And I think this is sound advice as I would be eating all kinds of carb and wondering why I was not losing weight and my readings are high. In my line of work, we tell young people to question things and form their own opinions. It seems eminently sensible to me to read all the info available and form your own opinion. HCP are not Gods. Nor are they infallible. Look at my doc who told a 9year old boy that he had a bit of a virus and that he should take cal pol. According to the doc at the hospital, he would be dead by now if his mother had followed the advice of that HCP!Hi chick! I suspect the reason I was banned was that I gave the advice not to immediately trust your HCP but to think first before you follow their advice.Dangerous, I know.
Or maybe I was just rude. Can´t remember and the posts I suspect are of interest are gone.
I suspect I managed to **** someone off, but if that is the case, and the member used his power as a moderator to ban me without telling me why nor giving me the chance to defend myself then I will be seriously ****** off with him.I wouldn't take it personally Totto - it just depends which Mod is around at the time of your alleged misdemeanour I think. It's always been like it. People were getting banned at one stage for posting '+1' when they agreed with a post - mad but true! Maybe one of the mods was in a bad mood that day LOL.
