Hi guys, I'm really glad to be able to have joined this awesome info database that this site is. I've got some doubts which i would want some help. I' like to exercise regularly much like a bodybuilder and try to match a good diet to my workouts. I plan to have 4-5 meals a day, which one composed of 75g carbs + 35g Protein + 2g fat. My schedule is: 8:00AM - first meal 11:00AM - second meal 13:00PM - abdominal training 14:00PM - third meal 16:00PM - weightlifting training 17:00PM - fourth meal 20:00PM - fifth meal The problem is that I'm not sure if between the meals which does not have a workout between (first - second and fourth - fifth) my glycogen stores are depleted (high GI meals covered with 5-6units of Apidra right after, average glucose ~100mg/dl tested 1 hour after the shot, 3 hours time span between meals/and thus between bolus shots), and with this getting the carbs of the second and fifth meals being stored directly as fat, in case the stores are still full. The reason of my doubt is because I'm type 1 diabetic for about 21years, and thus my counter regulation hormones (most glucagon and epinephrine) must be heavily impaired. Could someone explain what happens between these meals? My biggest concern is putting bodyfat. Thanks in advance.
