Counting carbs

Hi I've been type 1 for about 4.5 yrs nw and I've been reading about people carb counting and I've never been asked 2 do this I'm on novo rapid 3times a day and Lantus solo star at tea time should I b counting carbs as I said don't no much about it

I was diagnosed over 30 odd years ago as type 1 and only offered a course on carb counting last year, I thought I was doing ok. However the carb counting was the best thing that happened to me in relation to my diabetes. You not only learn about carb counting but also about diabetes itself.
If you ask and get on a carb counting course like DAFNE what you learn will help you for the rest of your life. The courses are great and will make you far more independant.

hi dear noosrat here me too i am on the same treatment with lantus and novorapid; i am trying to count carbs but i find that difficult because there is no one to help me how to calc it ! if ever i suceed i contact u! still i surf on net to know the amount of carbs in some food i eat like bread, fruits, e.g small banana has 15 carbs etc
