Hi there Really sorry to hear you have COVID. But do not panic. It is probably the OMICRON variant and the symptoms are generally not so severe. But keep an eye out for the symptoms. If you are vaccinated the probability of severe symptoms is greatly reduced. So please do not panic. If the symptoms are like a cold/bad cold then treat with you regular pain killers (paracetamol, ibuprofen etc.). Keep well hydrated and rest. It will pass. BUT, if your symptoms are severe then dial 999. Official NHS advice is below. Link to symptom checker if you are worried about your symptoms, you can check and see if you need to dial 999. Coronavirus COVID-19 Symptom Checker Call 999 now if you have any life threatening symptoms:

Severe breathing problems (e.g. can’t talk normally, turning blue and gasping)
Chest pain (e.g. like a tight band or heavy weight in or around the chest)
Stroke (e.g. unable to raise arm, one sided limb weakness or drooping face)
Severe injury/heavy bleeding that cannot be stopped
Fitting now/unconscious (e.g. cannot be woken)
Please DO NOT go to your GP Surgery, a pharmacy or hospital. https://111.wales.nhs.uk/SelfAssessments/symptomcheckers/COVID19.aspx Do try not to worry, keep in contact with friends/family on the phone so that they can keep track of your well being and be there as a back up if you do need emergency help to be called. Each day that goes by will let you know how things are going. Most likely things will get better. Hang in there and keep an eye on your symptoms. Use the symptoms checker if you are unsure. Call 999 if you have to based on symptom checker. Remember, being vaccinated really reduces risk of severe symptoms, OMICRON symptoms tend to be less severe. Do not get too stressed or panic.
