covid and type 2 diabetes

hi there

Do type 2 diabetes individuals with covid need antivirals. I've got covid and feel like I've been hit by a bus.

Sorry you are not feeling great.
People with Type 1 don't need anti-virals so I would be surprised if you do with type 2 but if you really feel bad, I suggest getting in touch with 111 and/or your GP (although I suspect they won't want you in the surgery).
 
Despite diabetes being one of the conditions that raises the risk of a poorer outcome it is not one of the conditions that automatically gets antivirals (either type). That said if you feel terrible and you haven’t had it too long there’s nothing to lose, except time on the phone, speaking to 111 and your GP but I doubt your chances are high. If you succeed please let us know how. Hope you feel better soon.
