Covid booster and flu vaccination

I can empathise Iain. My readings almost doubled over the 6 weeks since my vaccine and I am now on medication. If you mention the possibility of the vaccine causing this, the doctors/nurses don't want to know. I also quickly developed an ear problem. The deafness is slowly resolving itself but I still have tinnitus. I'm not sure if I could feel safe having a vaccine again.

I only had covid booster but have been very tired since.... had swollen glands under my arm & sore arm for over a week although tiredness has persisted.
Figured I got to this age without any flu jabs.... why start now...think I had one year after covid..

So sad... my Mum is in a home now... just had her 4th booster she has alzhiemers & vascular dementia

My mum also has Alzheimer's and vascular dementia, she is also in a home and she does not remember me at all. I write to her most weeks, trying to provoke some memories but she cannot communicate at all now and has her letter read to her, and sleeps a lot. Its a horrid disease, I know it sounds bad but I would prefer her to have diabetes than what she has now. I cannot see her as it upsets me so much and I don't want to upset her in any way

I had a shot of covid in October, a week of really not feeling at all well, when I was meant to be having my vac and flu, so delayed a month.
Had them, felt fine, FBG were fine, back to normal in fact. Then a week later just a full on head cold, sore throat and turned into a snot machine and numbers up into 6's, which is not the norm for me....
Better but still not right after two weeks and numbers still high....

Same happened to us, @Lainie71.

Horrible to say, but we lost her 2016..very pre covid...and so grateful we didn't have that extra burden.
God knows how families coped
Not seeing loved ones & if being asked having to make such decisions of vaccines, etc

Gentle hug for you .

Had my flu jab late November.
(Been having them last 10 years or so )
Insisted I didn't want them both together ..heard too many worrying stories of both together.
So seemed a silly risk.

Didn't affect me in anyway I noticed, fbg was being the same as it was.

Still debating the covid one ...mmh.
