Did anyone else get an email from the NHS saying they were eligible for covid treatments should you get it? They say they are sending a packet of tests out which can be re-ordered, and if you test positive, contact your GP and you can get antiviral treatment. I'm just curious as some other diabetics I know haven't received it, and I also have other health conditions.

I got the same but it’s more likely for my other condition

Yes, I had it a couple of months ago, followed by a pack of tests. I found it strange that they had suddenly decided this.

Err this has been the case from the beginning when this medication was found to be useful.
I have no idea but I have just got the email, and as I say some other diabetics haven't, so I was wondering whether it was diabetes or my other condition (S) as to why I got the email.

It was in the main stream media. I haven’t had an individual email but did investigate and yes we are eligible. Wether I would want to risk taking it is another matter.

I think it depends more on your hba1c, control and comorbities. Diabetes alone doesn’t get you the antivirals. What was previously the extremely vulnerable category (shielding) rather than the raised risk group that worried us more but gave us no extra protection

I was hospitalised last September with covid and still didn’t get them.
