Thanks for your reply and giving me that rough estimate.in my opinion i would count every carb i put on my plate but the traditional dietician view is to leave salad and green veg as "free"
your salad just on a rough estimate works out as approx 6-8 carbs in total ( hard to tell exactly without weights of individual ingredients
Seems to be an individual thing so? Suppose its trial and error and watch the blood sugars ..Thanku for replying! Many of us include the carbs in everything on the plate. I am one of these. Many of us don't. The answer is really whichever works for you.
Yes trial and error it seems to be..and a guessing game! Thanks for your replyI only count food that causes my bg levels to rise. I dont count salad leaves, cucumber, celery but would count onion, peppers, tomatoe and avacardo if a lot of it is eaten. I dont count cabbage, cauliflower but count broccoli, runnerbeans, brussel sprouts, peas, carrots etc. Its trial and error
Thanks for your reply strange one hahaBg testing and trial and error with food will serve you well.
Some apple, pineapple and banana (yellow and green), are fruit that I don't need to do much of a bolus, but I am strange that way
