I was diagnosed Type2 a year ago and am being treated with Metformin 500mg x 2 daily.
I also have high blood pressure and high cholesterol which is also treated with tablet, Aspirin 75mg/Lercanidipine10mg/Simvastatin 40mg.
Recently, a month ago, after a hospital check up I was put on a beta blocker as well, Bisoprolol 2.5mg.
Shortly after this I began to feel cramps in my inner thighs...mild at first then getting more severe. The cramps have now spread to my arms and shoulders and fingers severely restricting my movements.
It has got to the point now where a good nights sleep is almost impossible...getting up in the morning is hard work as I am unsteady on my feet for a while after first standing. It can take an age to put on socks/tie shoe laces, and with the lack of movement in my upper body putting a t shirt on is painful too.
My Doctor said take Paracetamol for the pain...not very effective.
Anyone else experienced similar ?.....Is it the type2 or should I be looking more at a connection with the Blood pressure/cholesterol side of things...any ideas ?
I am Male/62 and have not had mobility problems before, and have no feet problems.
