Hi

Went a bit naughty last night and had a few Viennese short breads. Was woken at 230am with stomach cramps and a dose of the runs. And then jumped out of bed at 6am and managed to just stop a calf cramp in time.

Checked my bs and it was 12 and thats been about 7 hours after eating them even on victoza working against them.

Now im wondering if it was mainly the high blood suger that might of caused it. Or does it sound like its been a mix of the perfect storm. eg the runs dehydrating me and the high bs no doubt early teens a few hours ago.

Anyone else get the cramps its been 2 years 3 months 8 days since my last. I mark them down as they are that painfull I wont sleep properly for weeks scared of them now

Thanks Catherine. Been a miserable day so far but my bs has remained high all day with minimal food so thinking I might of just been coming down with a bug. Think it was really just a combination of dehydration and the high bs thats made my muscles go crazy all night.

hopefully tonight will be better :)

It is possible that you could have picked up a tummy bug that caused the stomach problems which in turn could have caused the BGs to rise which could have caused the cramps .The trouble with DB is that we tend to blame it for everything  Try not to worry I am sure things will be ok as you havent had any more stomach problems today,
CAROL

The high bg wouldn't have hep led Dave, but dehydration is known to cause cramps.
