Hi Shax,
Have read all the posts and re-posts....have to say that my OH is the same as yours....he takes an interest and tells me when im having a hypo before i know.......I only get symptoms when blood sugar is about 1.8mmol so to have someone tell you is great cuz then you can check and sort it....I have been told to use the crazy advice you have but given guidlines to not let it go higher than 14...when you have to do it every 3 months it is crazy....Im glad you have been referred for a pump...im waiting for a decision on funding at the mo...u should have better control when you get one but not everyone gets on with them and you have to listen and do what your dr tells you cuz you have to meet a certain criteria to get it....
