A quick question please. Now that I've reduced the amount of fat I'm eating - I've given up the clotted cream and double cream and now only buy single cream, I've noticed I'm getting through approx 2 x 300ml of single cream a week which is used only in cooking and perhaps 2 cups of coffee daily. Does this seem excessive for one person or about right, please?

Many thanks

Diana

Some people can have problems with the carbs in cream or dairy in general. Why not go back on the double cream but a smaller amount?

Have you tried magic bullet coffee? Might be an alternative even though it may sound horrible. I found I had to get used to the coconut oil in it very slowly or it made me nauseous.

I cook mostly with double cream. I know LCHF is counterintuitive but it does work as you know. We get through loads! 600ml x2 on dessert! We had visitors 2 days in a row so made ice-cream! No dessert for me now for the rest of the week!

as far as i know once you separate the butter out of the cream you can go back. but i could be wrong.

Bullet coffee is delicious but the butter and coconut oil must be properly mixed with a hand blender or mixer like magic bullet, looks like a cafe latte.

Yes, bullet proof coffee is delicious.

Re your cream question, I do better with double than single. Consumption varies a lot depending on pudding and cooking, so can't really help you there.
