My readings by 10a.m usually rise 5 points to 12. 13. Sometimes 15. Working out why has proved tough.
Insulin 20 units is taken around 6.45. Breakfast of egg or fish , occasional oats with 1/6 apple plus 1 slice of small wholemeal loaf. A friend went for a previous diabetic check, the nurse told her off for having 3 cups of tea in the 3 hrs b4 the test, Not water. Is there a correlation between tea and higher readings. 3 cups of decaf tea is my habit 7-10in those hours. And a connection with tea and higher readings.

I'm having a stab at answering this @Bobby105, does your friend have milk in their tea? If so milk contains lactose which is a sugar. As to your own rise, Insulin resistance can vary during the day. Some people find they are less sensitive to insulin in the mornings, some are less sensitive as the evening progresses.
