One of my ingrowing toe nails has made a cut on one of my feet. What should I realistically be doing? Before the diabetes diagnostic I would have left it & I know it will heal as its cut there before a few years back. But now I'm kind of confused as I have heard the stories about people that have lost limbs due to cuts that have become infect. As much as the neuropathy I have is "annoying", I don't want to lose my feet through me not taking some preventative care that I could have done.

Clean the cut and cover with a dressing if it does not heal after a few days see your gp or DN
This is what the podiatrist did when I cut the sole of my foot. Make sure you keep it clean and dry
