It's been 4 years since my initial diagnosis for type 1 following an unexpected 4 night stay in hospital following a GP visit to investigate why I'd lost 2 stone in 6 weeks!
It's feels a life time ago, since I was in a hospital ward believing it was the end of my life as I knew it.
It wasn't obviously. The only thing that's changed is I drink a lot more lucozade, and have a lot more holes in my fingers! Oh and I can tell you how many carbs are in most meals. A skill I never thought I'd ever ever have to learn!
Still surviving though.
Happy d day to you fellow t1s out there.
