dafne and exercise

Hi ,
I have recently been reading about the dafne course. I am a type 1 diabetic and it suggests I reduce my insulin dose before exercise if I want to lose weight. It also suggests that I don't exercise if my bm is above 13mmol as it will make my bm go higher. If I reduce my insulin before breakfast, have my breakfast then go to the gym, by the time I get to the gym my bm is too high!! Does anyone else have this problem and how do you deal with it?

You can technically reduce the insulin enough so it covers your food and no more exactly - but as you've seen yourself it gets tricky.

It's a physical impossibility most of the time. You just have to keep yourself topped up on isotonic lucozade and avoid a hypo.
