DAFNE Carbohydrate System

[b]Everybody with Type 1 Diabetes needs to learn the Dafne system.

Please ask your doctor/nurse or consultant to refer you to get access to Dafne!

You can now eat or drink whatever or whenever suits you!!!

You can be more in control of your diabetes rather that feeling it's controlling you!!!

Not everyone can ger access to a dafne course, this is from their webiste

"If you do not receive your care from a current DAFNE centre you cannot access a DAFNE course. DAFNE can only be offered by a diabetes unit that have DAFNE trained educators and doctors. There are no private DAFNE courses available"

Lots of area's offer alternatives to the DAFNE course that is pretty much the same and i assume will be as useful to anyone with diabetes!! so if your area doesn't offer DAFNE see what else there is! :)

I agree with woolie totally! i think everyone should be able to go on the course aopefully it will be available for everybody!
 
For those who can't get on dafne, or are on a waiting list, the book 'think like a pancreas' is pretty good and uses same approach
