Sorry if this is a blunt question but what proportion of people with diabetes go blind or have their feet amputated? I don't seem to see swarms of them to be honest. And I'm still trying to get a grip on the differences between Type 1 and type 2.
I approve of scare tactics to get people (like me !) to pay attention but my deep suspicion of drug companies and doctors makes me cautious about scare stories.
I am trying to find out about this condition because my GP is frankly a disgrace.
