Dang! - took too much Novorapid

Thanks @linnyb

I have tried hiding sugary/naughty but I usually end up eating them to stop the temptation (if that makes sense).
Hi Rob, hope you got through the night ok. I totally get not having treats hidden, its hard to avoid temptation! Unfortuanately you either love or hate dextro tabs, & I hate them! YUK!!!!

Crikey @robert72 that's a missed opportunity if ever I saw one...I would've been down to the shops in a flash

Hope you're feeling ok today

hi @linnyb

All good through the night thanks. I don't mind the odd one or two dextro, but a whole packet

Re overdose with insulin.......I keep a tin of ambrosia rice pudding in the cupboard with ring pool lid. It's nice and easy to eat and easily use up iob in excess.

I have diabetic clinic on Thursday - they will be thrilled to see the spike from yesterday

Maybe so but just don't repeat the exercise

Pleased you got through the night fine Rob

Horrible when you do that, I have done the same many times. But just recently hope i have found a cure. 'I used to have my bolus and my basal at the same time early morning. what i now do is...
Have my breakfast bolus, soon after waking. (I keep both pens in the same pouch) and put a pen needle alongside the basal pen. I start a stopwatch to time the bolus. I then shower and get dressed and have breakfast 25mins after my bolus(stopwatch) Then about 20mins later an alarm goes off on my Libre or could use a phone. This tells me to have my Toujeo, after which I fill in my logbook.
By seperating them by 45mins it has worked so far.
wish you well Robert

thanks @richyb

I knew I was doing a bolus but was distracted and clicked up too many units. Only other time I ever did this was when I unwittingly put Humalog in my Lantus pen and was completely oblivious until the hypo hit
