Dapaglifizon side effects

Hi everyone,

I'm T2, currently taking Dapaglifizon 10mg and Sitagliptin 100mg, I have only been taking the Dapaglifizon for about 4 weeks, my DN prescribed it when I said I did not want to take Glicazide for the fear of hypo's.
I had to stop taking the Dapaglifozin for a couple of days as I was having upper endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy done under general anaesthetic. Since I started taking it again I have been getting really bad headaches and bad pain behind my right eye, also a couple of dizzy spells which weren't nice.
This is the only new medication I've been taking and I know the headaches could be something else, has anyone else had these side effects with this medication? I want to give it a good try before contacting my DN again as she said they're running out of options to try with me as I couldn't take Metformin either. I'm in half a mind now just to take the Sitagliptin itself as it doesn't seem to cause problems. I hate this diabetes so much.

I am taking Dapa aand it hasn't given me headaches. I suggest you contact your pharmacy. Does the info leaflet mention headaches. As Dapa is diuretic, it may be dehydration. I hope you get your answr soon.

Thanks for the replies, I've been making sure to take lots more water and the headaches seem to have eased a bit so maybe it was a bit of dehydration. Hopefully it'll stay settled, if not I'll contact DN again.
