Hi everyone, I've been diabetic for about 20 years managing to keep it in check with diet and exercise (only walking due to other health issues). Recently I've had problems with my joints (including a torn meniscus) which has prevented me from doing any serious walking, as a result my glucose has gone higher than desirable and I was put on Metformin, as I increased the dose I gradually started to feel more and more ill, until eventually I was unable to take it at all. My doctor decided to put me on Dapagliflozin and when I read the side effects, I became very unnerved by some of them. It's left me feeling like I don't want to take it because in past experiences with medications over the years, I've not fair well with a lot of it. It's like, if something could go wrong, then I'd be the one to have a reaction. I would just like to know other peoples reactions and experiences from taking this drug. As at present I'm not taking anything for my diabetes and the effects of the modified release Metformin are just about out of my system. Also, I'm dairy intolerant and also coeliac, and I noticed this has Lactose in, does anyone know if it's vegan or dairy?
