Hi has anyone who is taking dapagliflozin experienced a discharge from their bottom I’ve heard of thrush but there’s no itching.

I was on this for about 3 years, never had that happen BUT i did have constant thrush, Soon as i came off it and started insulin its never returned. The doctor did say that Dapagliflozin does make body expel glucose in urine which can lead to urine infections and thrush, I did have one urine infection that was so severe, Temp of 42c I ended up in hospital for a week on IV Antibiotics.

Hi, I'm on one x 10mg dapagliflozin (Forxiga) tablet every day, and have been for 9 months since March this year (2022), so it's still a relatively new drug for me.
Fortunately, I've had no such problems - as yet, anyway. Nevertheless, thanks for the "heads-up" - or is it "bottoms-up" ;) ?, I'll keep monitoring.

I note there are these serious warnings on the info sheet that applies to Forixga (so, like any drug, users do need to be careful):
"Genital infections. If you experience painful urination, soreness and more severe irritation or redness and swelling of your genitals, or an unpleasant odour or discharge associated with your genitals. Urinary tract infection. If you have symptoms, such as burning or pain when you pass urine, more frequent or urgent need to urinate, fever, chills, or blood in the urine. If you experience pain or tenderness, redness, swelling of the genitals or the area from the genitals to the rectum, fever, and generally feeling unwell. These may be symptoms of a rare but serious and potentially life-threating infection called Necrotising fasciitis of the perineum (Fournier’s gangrene) and you will require prompt treatment". Cheers, DB1.

Please see your doctor about this.
I started Forxiga end of 2021. I lost 12 kgs in the next 10 months, down from 89kgs to 77kgs. Bit concerned but after a number of tests there was nothing untoward found. The hospital put it down to the Forxiga. My weight has stabilised at 78kgs, which was my weight prior to being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 12 years ago. When I started the Forxiga my doctor recommended I take a vitamin C tablet daily to avoid bladder infection ( I am male and I have heard it can be quite painful). Not sure if this helps.
