Type 1
My daughter who has type 1 suffers from mild stomach ache quite often, will this be related to her diabetes.the funny side of this she has more wind which she finds funny. My daughter is 11 and coping very well with everything .

That is great news that she is coping so well

Mention the stomach ache to her Dr @Northernboy72

If your daughter's doctor says all's well with her tummy, you could perhaps ask if it's ok for her to take probiotics. I started them a few years ago and find they help my digestion and general health. My DSN suggested them as she said that people with diabetes were more prone to 'dodgy' intestinal flora (I can't remember the proper term she used) due to higher sugars.

When my BS fluctuates I tend to get a bit nauseous but not an ache per se. I do get an ache if I ingest dairy grains or sugar especially. Has she been tested for celiac?

Thanks for help. She hasn't been tested but I will mention it to the nurse on next visit.
