I'd also suggest you need to ensure the final choice is sustainable as you may find it gradually increases your overall BG's over a period of days. If you have low carbed for a while then if you're anything like me you can build up a tolerance to one off higher carb meals but I find they cannot be sustained over a prolonged period of days.

Not really. I do find that my levels fluctuate like this with no discernible trend. Mind you, I did have a Martini as an aperitif last night so that might have affected things a bit.
