Day events for parents

Hi everyone! I hope this is fine to post about, I was just wondering if anyone had been to an event that was geared towards parents? With talks and information given? Did people find them useful to go to? There is one being held quite soon but it will be a 2 hour drive for me to go to it, so just wondered if anyone had experience of them.

Even if you don't like the talk you will probably find you get to meet some other parents and hear about their experiences. We have Camp Diabetes here and have sessions throughout the day. I probably don't get much out of them anymore as we are 4 years in with diabetes and they tend to be the same subjects each year.
