Type 1 Day out at Adventure Park

I tend to use short term suspensions when I see my blood sugars dropping around 5 mmol/l if I am active.
This means a bit more tweaking than setting a temp basal and leaving it.

I am not sure which adventure park you are planning on going to but you need to be aware if she is going on roller coasters. They have strong magnets which can affect pumps so it is recommended to remove the pump when on one.
I believe it is also possible to jump the queue with a pump. You may need a letter from your diabetes team for that.

I use a pump too, I tend to keep my levels at 8mmol/l and above with lots of checking, however you can be a bit more on it though with setting a new basal pattern up by duplicating your current one, I would do a 30% reduction on it which gives a bit more leverage whilst active during the day, however once back in the car then adjust back to the original basal setting and prepare for a bit of a rise. Lots of jelly babies/hypo treatments to hand at all times too, it's a tricky one as there's lots of exercise, adrenaline and fast food to contend with but also lots of stops/rests to check BG levels. I go to Alton Towers most years and have been ok there

@In Response isn't making it up anything with strong magnets is a bad idea with a pump unless you want to risk it breaking. In your pump user guide it'll mention rollercoasters and removing your pump.
