I picked up my latest lipid results today,
TC 5.1
HDL 1.57
TC/HDL 3.2
Trigs 0.7
LDL 3.21
I was really happy, especially with the trigs.
However, there was a note from the GP, 'please discuss'. Apparently not happy with the TC!
I don't think I need his input on this one.

Note from patient, please explain this. It shows the cholesterol levels of people having had a CVE. Seems to increase in number after 5.4 (if my memory serves me well). It also increases as you go below that, almost suggesting 5.4 is the optimum.
Looking at my results with my DN, I said "Oh! my total cholesterol has gone up", she said "We don't worry about that anymore we go by the ratios". I don't know how HCPs get updated but it does seem to happen, just painfully slowly.
