just been put on tablets metoformin despite a totally vegan diet walking at least 4 miles a day cutting way down on carbs feel like a fauilure
 
Don't feel bad. It can take time for low carbing to kick in and you start seeing results.

You're not failing - you are fighting, making a real effort with diet and exercise. Sometimes our bodies fight against us but hopefully the Metformin will help you get good results. Stay determined and good luck

Sorry to read you are feeling down. Taking metformin is not a sign of failure. It is sometimes just the sensible thing to do. Many people take it for a while and can cut down or stop taking it completely so it may not be permanent.
