I wouldn't go for specialist gluten free food as it is expensive. For breakfast I would try Oatibix http://www.weetabix.co.uk/products/cereals/oatibix or Oatibix Flakes http://www.weetabix.co.uk/products/cere ... bix-flakes - had a look at Oatibix bites and they have wheat in them. The advantage of the Oatibix is that you could make them into a soft mush and hopefully this would be quite soothing on your stomach. Lunch could be a salad and some fruit. Evening meal could be meat and veg. Make sure you drink plenty of water. If you are looking for a snack, then Nairns do oatcakes that don't have wheat in them http://www.nairns-oatcakes.com/our-oaty-food/oatcakes As you are on insulin, I wouldn't worry too much about the carb content of what you are eating as you can use the correct amount of insulin for the amount of carbs you are eating. Although I have the opposite problem to you when eating wheat, give cutting out wheat a go and see if it helps. I saw a gastroenterologist and had a barium follow-through and was put on mebeverine for bloating. It wasn't suggested to me to cut out wheat, but when I did most of my symptoms went away. It is quite possible to cut wheat out of your diet, although a little challenging for eating out. It doesn't have to be expensive.
