These sort of threads are useless without some sort of link or pictures to reference..?Has anyone seen the latest picture posted on Facebook by Diabetes UK? It is a picture of a woman with a cigarette in one hand and a drink in the other, lounging on the sofa with her belly fat on show. It is just so INSULTING to all of us who are working so hard to manage our condition and so unhelpful to all of those who are not yet diagnosed and think that they will never get diabetes because they are not "couch potatoes"

Diabetes uk have now removed the picture due to complaints
The piccy's of bits being chopped off did it for me since there was no doubt there was a problem. The lady in the photo might be quite healthy and happy but anyone who behaves like her are now going to be given a stigma. There are about three million diabetics in UK which means there are about 57 million who aren't. Some of them enjoy life drinking and smoking. Why should we spoil it for them.Unfortunately I believe this is a reasonable representation of far too many people. I think the aim is too shock and for people to maybe look at their lifestyles. I think it's very effective.

OK so why pick on diabetes?Because there's more to life than diabetes, possibly the bigger picture recognises other health issues associated with being a smoking, drinking, overweight couch potato?
It looks like healthy stressbusting to me. Well except for the real cig.Just makes me want to open a bottle of dry white wine and spark up a cigarette and relax on the sofa as long as it's not more often than the odd occasion I don't see much of a problem with it.
