To much to say.
Today I had my first appointment at the Desmond clinic,my 2nd one is next week...I found it very helpful on the information about Diabetes Type 2 and what happens to our body while we can't produce enough insulin, and what can happen if we don't get in control of Diabetes, how we can face heavy consequences along the way...I wasn't to happy about the food part,if it wasn't for this fantastic web site,I would still be eating what they recommend, all the starches...I felt like getting up and telling them everything I have learnt on here, but give the nurse her due,she did mention this site,so I am aware she knows how to really eat with Diabetes, but I guess she has to follow her guide lines from the NHS...A few people in the group had not heard of this site,so I wrote it down for them and explained how it has kind of saved my life...I also did not realise just how much knowledge I have learnt from popping into the forums over these past 3 months,it made me feel very good about myself, and I can't wait to get to the stage where I have enough info to move on and try lots of different recipes, but for now I am going to have a nice glass of water with ice,and a couple of lemon wedges in it...Hope your all having a Blessed day...And thank you to everyone who has replied to my past post, and helped me through some very hard times...

Hi rosemary , glad all is going ok with you and your course.....still learning lots, it has become life long learning now ....:) Kat x

Thank you...I have decided once a month to treat my self to some very important things to do with my Diabetes...I will be going up to the pound shop and buy myself a nice pretty note book to log all my food,a little note book to keep my levels in,and a nice pen just to write about my condition...I have been using these things in the past 3 months, but I have scraps of paper here and there, pen goes missing because my daughter or someone else has used it then it's lost...I am going to make a nice little area on my computer desk all for my personal stuff to do with Diabetes...I realise now that this is with me for the rest of my life, even if I get it under controll,I know I can never ever go back to how it was,so I might as well make the best out of a bad situation into something that is not going to go away, but embrace it as it is part of me forever...xox

Kat,would it be ok to take paracetamol,I have a headache which is from sitting in the clinic and traveling,is there sugar in the tabs, thank you
