Hi was on this forum years back and just come back on, 40 years old been told couple days back got a retina detachment need a victrectomy and also a cataract removed, went today to have it done sitting there waited for hours in a hospital gown to be told the equipment hasn't turned up so can't do it today, told I can have it done next week awake or asleep, but I get panic attacks sitting in a barbers chair so having it done next week asleep, not really looking for advice as such but thought Gona spend bit time on here and share stuff, been told it's 50/50 if iam Gona lose the sight in the eye, been type1 30 years and although been bouncing off the walls with anxiety and checking my eyes a 1000 times a day still feel I can be of some use to others that may feel anxious and scared from similar or other diabetes experiences, so on that note hope to see people around the forum, one positive at 40 iam not walking into doors just yet but I've had to buy a dream catcher and listen to the Amazon relaxing sounds just to calm down abit at night
