Hi all again

Opinions please?
I have been diagnosed for 4 years, take 1000mg metformin per day & keep as much under control with exercise. Good levels maintained for all these years.

But .... a month ago I had my flu jab and within 3 days was poorly, awful sick and flu like symptoms for almost 10 days. Since then I have spent 2 weeks being so very thirsty and peeing 3 times a night.

Has my "condition" somehow dramatically progressed??

It is highly unlikely that you have caught anything from the flu vac as it contains a dead virus and cannot give you the flu. You may have got a bad cold from other sauces. I would get to your GP and explain your situation. There are a variety of conditions, including diabetes, that can cause the need to urinate at night.

The flu jab can cause side effects like aching muscles and a mild fever, not like flu though.

Any such side effects could cause your BGs to rise in the short term ( a few days) they should return to "normal" after that.
