Hi everybody
This morning my receiver fall in water and it doesn't work anymore.
I would live to dry it but can't find the way to open the case. Can you give me an advice to do it ?
Another question : does Dexcom in USA or in UK repair receivers ?
Thanks
Christian

Hi Christian, I have never tried it myself, but the 2 things I have heard a number of times for wet mobile phones are 1) place the unit in a jar of dried (uncooked) rice and leave. The rice apparently absorbs the water. 2) My father in law got a mobile phone wet and purchased a substance which came in a plastic bag designed for this situation off the internet. However, it did not work but for £5 or £10 it might be worth trying!

I remember seeing somewhere on Dexcom's website that they will replace the receiver for $199usd one time. Couldn't find it today, but it was definitely there less than a month ago.

I think it probably depends on the goegraphy. I suspect that if the OP is in the UK, they will have to take their chances with Advanced Therapeutics... Having that info will help!

As the receiver isn't waterproof then replacement will be at your own cost or contents ins on your house. Rice and airing cupboard
